Especially for you, Black girl.
If even God rested, why are you still trying to prove you’re unstoppable?
You weren’t created to grind until you disappear. You were designed to reflect God, even in your stillness.
The Divine Model Was Never Burnout
We’ve been conditioned to equate exhaustion with excellence. But the divine model was never burnout. It was balance.
Even God paused— not from depletion but from completion.
So what if rest isn’t the reward but the revelation? What if your softness is the strategy? What if your rest is the real resistance?
Choosing Sacred Over Busy
This week, choose sacred over busy. Pause on purpose.
This is how we lead. This is how we live richly.
“By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work.” — Genesis 2:2 (NIV)
Reflection Prompt
Where have I been trying to earn what I’ve already been given?
How can I honor my softness this week?
Take five minutes with your journal, your breath, or your own stillness to reflect.
