Rest Is Trust

There’s a lot stirring right now — in the news, in our cities, in our spirits. It’s okay to feel the ache of it. There’s grief in the air, some named, some unnamed. Don’t rush past it. Let stillness hold you until the ache softens.
Rest was the first act of trust, proof that creation continues even when we step back.
Before you react, respond, or run — pause.
Place your hand on your heart.
Whisper to yourself, “Even here, I am safe.”
We can’t always quiet the world, but we can refuse to abandon ourselves in it. Rest doesn’t ignore the storm — it builds sanctuary inside it.
Your rest this week is not withdrawal — it’s rehearsal for freedom.
Every pause is a prophecy that peace is possible.
🖤Ritual for the Week:
Light a candle, breathe deeply, and write what you’re releasing in your Rest & Reflect Journal.
If you need guidance, take the Rest Archetype Quiz to name the kind of rest your spirit needs most.
With radical rest + soft power,
Kristen Renee Ingram
